He explains that evolutionists think that billions of years of time makes particles-to-people evolution possible. While if you believe that the Bible is the inspired word of the all-mighty God (and that He is God and you are not!), you must have a completely different point of view. The Bible states, in Genesis Chapter 1, that man was made six days after creation, about 6K years ago.
Dr. Sarfati also addresses that fact that Christians, by definition, should take Jesus Christ’s statements at face value, like what He said on Mark 10:6: ‘But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female’, which reinforces the creation order as stated in Genesis 1, but clashes with evolution’s teaching of a very old planet Earth.
Safarti goes on to recognize that different biases (Creation vs. Evolution) can result in different interpretations of the same data. Biblical Creationist do have the bias that the Bible is God’s Word and therefore is true. Thru this bias we can indeed derive reasonable interpretations of the data out there which indicate that the Earth is indeed a young planet (well, compared to the millions and millions of years of the Theory of Evolution).
On this article, Jonathan Safarti goes into a very scientific, yet straightforward, analysis of rock formation and dating methods which I strongly suggest you read carefully. All evidence presented points toward a young world.
He closes with the following statement:
“Creationists ultimately date the earth using the chronology of the Bible. This is because they believe that this is an accurate eyewitness account of world history, which can be shown to be consistent with much data.”
I agree 100%. As I said earlier, I believe God is God and I am not and have chosen to take His word, which He has shared with us from Genesis all the way through Revelation, as the truth. It is a matter of faith and trust. Who do you chose to trust?
